    This publication is a collection of articles published in 1972 on the initiative of the cultural council of Israeli kibbutzim with the intention of presenting to kibbutz members, teachers, and educational institutions knowledge about the golden age of the development of Kabbalah in the city of Safed and about Rabbi Isaac Luria, called Ha-Ari, on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of his death.
    The question was posed: "Why should the city of Safed be inhabited by God's help with greater reverence and holiness than other cities in the Holy Land?" The answer states that Safed has a unique spiritual position and historical significance in Jewish tradition.
