    The second edition of the book Sefer Chasdej HaŠem (Book of the Lord's Mercy), authored by the medieval rabbinic scholar and philosopher Rabbi Joseph Ja´avec, known as He-Chasid (The Pious), who lived in the years 1440 - 1507 and was among the prominent Spanish exiles who had to leave Spain during the expulsion of the Jews in 1492. The book contains sermons and interpretations of psalms, verses from the Tanakh and other texts. This book was first printed in Constantinople (Istanbul) in 1533. This edition dates from 1934 and was printed in Brooklyn at the Münster printing house.
