Judaism and the army? Hmm, certainly an unusual connection for many. But Judaism is not just a religion. Judaism is also the independent state of Israel, which was established in 1948. From the beginning of its existence, it has been a thorn in the side of its neighbors and many other countries in the world. Who knows how long it would have survived without the legendary Israeli army - the IDF.
What is the IDF?
The Israel Defense Forces, or Tzahal. These are professionally trained soldiers who are now ranked among the best in the world. It consists of three units - ground forces, air force and navy, which are closely interconnected. This army is also known for the mandatory conscription of girls. In Israel, boys enter mandatory military service for three years and girls for twenty-two months. Israeli soldiers today use the most modern technologies, which were often developed in Israel. As collaborators with the US Army, they organize training camps for soldiers from many other countries and are among the best experts in combat in the field and in the city.
