This unique Judaica is a masterful example of Sephardic ritual art that combines two key functions of domestic religious life. The object is designed as a circular vessel with a richly carved (ajur) rim with floral motifs. The internal arrangement is variable: turning the top disc with eight cups for Hanukkah oils or candles upside down reveals a bottom with two fixed holders for Shabbat candles. This design is typical of the Sephardic tradition, where the emphasis is on symmetry and circular arrangement, making this piece unusable for the Ashkenazic ritual, which requires a linear arrangement of lights.

The item is made of high quality 800/1000 fine silver and has a handy side handle for easy handling. In its current state, the candlestick is missing the shamash (auxiliary light) which is fitted to the side of the prepared element on this type. In case of interest, we offer the possibility to have the missing shade professionally made and completed within a time frame of 14 days to one month. This historic piece with its fine patina is not only a fully functional ritual object, but also an aesthetically valuable collector's piece.
