Alila (Drama, Israel 2003)

The film was directed by Amos Gitai. The main roles were played by Yaël Abecassis, Hana Laslo, Uri Klauzner, and Ronit Elkabetz. The film follows the intertwined fates of twelve people living in one residential building on the border between Tel Aviv and Jaffa. Something connects them and something divides them. It is twelve people who often don't even know each other's names, twelve fates, twelve stories. They live and work in one residential complex in Tel Aviv, they meet and pass by each other without knowing anything about one another. And yet they are all sometimes so similar to each other.
