A 1994 film titled "Ahare Hahagim" (After the Holidays), internationally known as On the Edge. The film was directed by Amnon Rubinstein and is based on a novel by Joshua Keneze from 1964. The plot takes place in an agricultural village (moshav) in Israel before the establishment of the state, shortly before World War II. The story follows a Polish immigrant family whose members feel like outsiders, which leads to the breakdown of family relationships. The main roles are played by Gedalia Besser, Hagit Dasberg, and Michaela Eshet.
