    Israel Defense Forces (IDF) – צה"ל (Tzva HaHagana LeYisrael) – the Israel Defense Forces are the military of the State of Israel and one of the most respected military organizations in the world. Founded in 1948, they have been protecting the Israeli state and its citizens for more than 75 years.

    Symbol of courage and determination – the IDF emblem depicts a sword surrounded by an olive branch, symbolizing readiness for defense combined with a desire for peace. This emblem represents the values on which the military is built: courage, solidarity, and service to the nation.

    More than an army – the IDF is an integral part of Israeli society. Almost every Israeli citizen serves in the military, which serves as a melting pot of cultures and a place where lifelong friendships are formed.
